Vintage Scratch nerd routines revisited

Shantan is probably going to hate on me for posting my nostalgic scratch nerd biz on here. But for all of those who haven’t seen these they are killer.
I can only imagine how many way to over the top Hip Hop heads would have populated Scribble jam back in the day.Homeboy Skratch Bastid takes the piss and the money oh so well.

This is also very worthy footage from 6 years ago now. These Frenchmen changed the game, bringing back music and funess to the lame world of DMC battles.

OoOoOoh! It’s a Hindi Halloween Party!

I bought this red leather jacket recently. Totally unwearable. Thought it was the best thing ever, but I haven’t worn it once. I’ll just look like the Indian Michael Jackson. Not something that I think the girls of Sydney are ready for.

Lady Chann Runs England Live in Studio

Woah! English Dancehall emcee, Lady Chann almost breaks our studio mic when she blows us away with a live in studio performance of ‘Lady Chann Runs England’. Working with producers like Sticky and Toddla T, she represents a new movement in UK dancehall which seems to draw influence from the sounds coming from the UK dance music scene. Oh and she has a killer show as we saw in Sydney.

I thought this was a really awesome find. A good low budget idea for a filmclip. You just sit there watching in anticipation to see if he can continue rapping when the rollercoaster drops. But then higher lord of the internet, Fashimi, trumped my rap video with rollercoaster karaoke

Video: Apsci get multimedia with it!

Why we would attempt this on radio, I am still not sure. But even so, here is the footage of Apsci’s multimedia performance in the FBi studios. There was a lot of work between mic breaks to setting up projectors, wii controls, cameras, effects pedals and other sorts of gizmos, so please forgive me if I sound a little more flabbergasted than usual each time we came on radio.

Flashback: Stolen Records Gala Ball 2009

We finally got together some of the footage from the first gala ball. It was more than just a hip hop show, this video captures a little bit of the special vibe that was going on around the room. It was a little bit high school formal combined with the wide spectrum of hip hop that Sydney has to offer.

We are doing it all again this Friday with another super huge line up, Make sure you are at the Gaelic Theatre this Friday to catch Koolism, Thundamentals, Ozi Batla, Katalyst, The Optimen, Apsci, Daily Meds, Phatchance ft The Copitc Soliders and Loose Change. Again it is all to raise money for FBi and is well cheap.
