It is debatable whether he is the best to ever do it, but he has definitely been consistent and outlasted many of his peers. He has come a long way from crack cocaine raps to becoming a respectable member of the establishment rubbing shoulders with dignitaries such as Prince Charles and President Obama. In my opinion a key part of his success has been a good ear for hip hop production. With so many hits and so many sweet as soul samples, Naiki’s tribute mashing up Jay-Z classics and the original samples was as killer as predicted.

Here at Stolen Records we endorse Global Bass and club goodness and of course pointy boots. Check the Vbs tv special for a mildly informative look into why these kids are getting their rave on in oversized pointy boots.

The 3ball sound has been bubbling along in Mexico City and Monterrey for a while with cross over love throughout Mexico. Fronted up by seemingly well known wunderkind Erick Rincon, Rincon and a whole bunch of other young kids are making fun tunes for anyone game enough to play them in the club. Here are some jams on a similar tip I wish I could play out but probably never will.

These photos were too funny not to blog. A while ago an old friend of mine, Astrid posted these shots on her facebook. Yes that is me in the orange Lowes jumper performing at Eastgarden’s shopping centre. With lyrics like “It ain’t easy being on social security. So they consider me, a burden to society”, I was an instant hit amongst local shoppers that flocked with groceries in hand.

Adidas and Nike jumpers, awful undercuts with long fringes, high waisted jeans, but I think what makes these photo collages so perfect is Astrid’s Catholic School Girl meets Graffiti style of writing. Awesome to the power of infinity plus one.

There is not an object that can't be converted into a cute animal. Council workers any where else would find this equipment too emasculating. Imagine trying to wolf whistle at a girl, while leaning on one of these.

Much like how African Americans have reclaimed the 'N-Word'.

Woah! Really putting it out there dude. I hope you can back it up.

Japan. Crazy, huh? I hear they sell orphan babies in vending machines and Hello Kitty is President. I went there once. These are some of the photos I took on my brother’s shitty camera before it’s battery ran out and I couldn’t recharge it. Some of them are even semi in focus.

I was at an all girls rock night in Shinjuku and was having one of those “I’m spending way much money” moments. In hindsight I should have bought one of the CD’s these Kinoco Hotel girls were peddling, but in lieu of having some of their music to share, I have posted something of a similar vain.

The 5.6.7.8’s, are probably the best known of the Japanese all girl Garage Rock bands. Their music is reminiscent of American Surf Rock, Rockabilly and Garage Rock, they also cameo in Kill Bill and they can’t sing L’s. I Ruv You!

Shantan is probably going to hate on me for posting my nostalgic scratch nerd biz on here. But for all of those who haven’t seen these they are killer.
I can only imagine how many way to over the top Hip Hop heads would have populated Scribble jam back in the day.Homeboy Skratch Bastid takes the piss and the money oh so well.

This is also very worthy footage from 6 years ago now. These Frenchmen changed the game, bringing back music and funess to the lame world of DMC battles.
