Yo Yo Yo!

Hip Hop Party Jams with a little New Jack and Dance Hall.

Who’s like to party? We like to party and we like to see people party.

Saturday 1st May 2010 we booked Bright N’ Up, invited some friends and round-up some bad ass talent including Bad Ezzy (Hoops), DJ Joyride (Spit Syndicate) and our residents DJ Donny Trump and Shantan Wantan Ichiban.

$5 entry and pretty people all round, it was our debut hip hop house party and Shantan promises another to come.

The first battle took place Wednesday 4 November 2009 & continued over six weeks with the grand finale Friday 18 December at Melt Bar. The goal, to find Sydney’s Iron Lyricist – the champion of all champions!

Our winner, the handsome, thuggish and all round nice guy Rapaport (The Phonies/Loose Change) took out the gold plastic medallion as Iron Lyricist. His fate was nearly decided by Gabi MC who came close second.

Thanks to Shure Mic’s, FreshIn.Com clothing and Zachery’s Pizza for the prize pack.

On 26 June 2009, yours truly hosted the Stolen Records Gala Ball at the Manning Bar as part of some massive fundraising gigs for FBi Radio.

An epic lne-up including The Last Kinection, Spit Syndicate, Urthboy, Horrorshow, Hermitude, KillaQueenz , Def Wish Cast, That’s Them, Nikkita, Hau (Koolism) and DJ Joyride helped lend a hand and save FBi.

Hosted by Shantan Wantan Ichiban the Gala Ball was a sell-out – and to continue this year in 2010.

Watch the party unfold with some photos taken from the night.

Stolen Records organised the ‘Hot Tamale Stand’ in 2006 with Latin, Caribbean and African motivation.

The night featured the now uber successful ladies from KillaQueenz and spicy fella’s from Oz Locos with The Stolen Record Skrillionaires on DJ rotation.

The Hot Tamale Stand Mixtape is available here via Divshare.

*Caution: language warning with end of video.

The Stolen Records CD launched at Candy’s Apartment in Kings X on Friday 5th November in 2004.

A mad line-up supported the launch including Bliss n Eso, Bass Elefant Ft. Urthboy and Ozi Batla, Sleeping Monk and Fame One plus DJ’s: Regal & Nick Toth & Blaze.

Hosted by Stolen Records Thug Massive!
