Since when did R&B turn into really bad dance music? Not interested in a night of Fatman Scoop with David Guetta clones? Shiiiittt… seems the only places that you can hear new club R&B and Hip Hop in Sydney is at Snapback, Levin’s sets at Halfway Crooks and DJ Leon Smith playing at strip club/nightspot Bada Bing.

While most R&B DJs are content peddling the same hits each week, Leon is one of the few that is pushing new R&B and Hip Hop. Leon popped in the studio to play a set of tunes that strippers like to get naked too.

Colombian Cocaine Fight to Celebrate Final Win

In Colombia cocaine is dirt cheap and abundant. So much so it is more economical to do a line of blow before work, than have your soy latte. So in Medellin when the home team, Atletico Nacional, win the Colombian Football League grand final, all of a sudden these massive bags of coke appear from nowhere and there is a big cocaine fight in the streets to celebrate. People throwing bags of the stuff at each other. Daniel and I just happened to be in the right place at the right time.

Basically a really long video for ‘Make Some Noise’, it’s the full length version of ‘Fight For Your Right Revisited’. Featuring an allstar, cast the Beastie Boys of the future challenge the Beastie Boys of the past to a “super fresh old school dance off”. Not quite Thriller, but probably better than Kanye’s efforts. Your thoughts?

Oh and here is ‘Don’t Play No Game That I Can’t Win’ with Santigold. It is like ‘Shove It’, but with the Beastie Boys instead of Spank Rock, and not really as good… but still pretty okay.
