Shout outs to Ology for putting me onto this dude the other week. Have been enjoying it so much i thought i would share some tunes. I bugged out at first on how much he sounded like Ghostface, but quickly got over that when i checked the Shiraz video below and had a good chuckle. Don’t Sleep!
What can I say about DJ Spinbad that hasn’t already been said. Basically you need this mixtape in your life. This tape is so next level and makes 90’s cheese sound amazing. So much detail so much time… if you slept on this tape you need to download it today and if you’re a hater you suck and will probably stub your toe in the next 3 days.

So our homies at Main ingredients have brought back the second installment of their Diggin in the crates parties, with New Zealand’s finest P-Money headlining the night and repping Roc a Fella. It’s a cool concept for a night where dj’s are asked to rep a label. It’s always good fun to dig into the vaults of labels that we all no and love to find the playable jems. I thought it would make sense to rep Tommy boy on the night as i remember always buying doubles of Tommy Boy 12’s pre digital era takeover. Also on the night local boss Dj’s Ology (Rawkus), Toni toni lee (Cash Money), And LinoType (Loud), i heard Lino is getting deported so this may be your last chance to see this super talented LA native do his thing in Sydney. So If your looking for something good to do this this Friday night come to Good God Small club and throw shapes!
Here are some jams from the Tommy Boy vaults for you that i will definatly be playing Friday night.
Here at Stolen Records we endorse Global Bass and club goodness and of course pointy boots. Check the Vbs tv special for a mildly informative look into why these kids are getting their rave on in oversized pointy boots.
The 3ball sound has been bubbling along in Mexico City and Monterrey for a while with cross over love throughout Mexico. Fronted up by seemingly well known wunderkind Erick Rincon, Rincon and a whole bunch of other young kids are making fun tunes for anyone game enough to play them in the club. Here are some jams on a similar tip I wish I could play out but probably never will.

MP3: Dj Alan Rosales – No Debiste feat Osa manosa (Warmits)
Also here is an older tune from super talented Melbourne Homie Lewis Can Cut with a remix from Chico Ye. This tune made me start checking for this sound a while back and is definatly club friendly banger.
Dj House shoes, has been flying the flag for all things Detroit and Dope for a wee while now. The man himself just happens to be out in Sydney on Sat May 7th for a one off date at Tonic and If your keen to see Shoes do his thing you best come down. If you haven’t yet checked his podcasts do yourself a favour and get familiar. http://theshoeshousepodcast.podomatic.com/
The infamous shindig that is the Do over in LA released there first musical offering back in 2010 which just happens to have the jam below by House Shoes, with a Flylo banger on the a side. super limited pressings check the artwork here.
So I did a mix of Global club stuff a while back, There is a bunch of different stuff on there from Baile funk and Balkan Vibes to Grime, UK Funky and Miami Bass. Here is some tunes I like from it. You might too. Oh yeah download the mix and get your hip thrust on.
Sabo of Sol Selectors fame is the dude as far as Moombahton, Digital Cumbia and all good things Latin are concerned, so i thought i would post some new jams from the man himself…
Early last year I (Mike Who?) had the chance to play some tunes with Bill before these homies from Brisbane who I must say are nothing short of dam spectacular. The Surecut Kids are a dj/production super duo from the Gold coast. They throw down 4 deck shows with mpc routines that will blow you away. Easily at home making hip hop heads loose it, reducing indie kids to tears or melting faces in the club. Next time these dudes make it down to sydney or wherever you are do yourself a favour and get there. Here is one of their first tapes I heard which is bossy as and influenced me to play indie tunes at inappropriate times and places I probably shouldn’t have been playing them.
Shantan is probably going to hate on me for posting my nostalgic scratch nerd biz on here. But for all of those who haven’t seen these they are killer.
I can only imagine how many way to over the top Hip Hop heads would have populated Scribble jam back in the day.Homeboy Skratch Bastid takes the piss and the money oh so well.
This is also very worthy footage from 6 years ago now. These Frenchmen changed the game, bringing back music and funess to the lame world of DMC battles.
