It was a half n hour of power. In just 30 min Foreign Beggars, Borgore and 12th Planet exploded onto the airwaves with massive basslines and so much energy. Twitter was going crazy as the transformed the show into something you would expect to hear on London pirate radio.

I didn’t do much this show, just sat back and let it be consumed in the chaos. I handed over the first half of the show to some of New York’s finest hip hop artists Jean Grae, Mr Len & Mela Machinko. I give them a whole lot of rope and they use it to hang me.
Oh and after being really really mean, Jean also does me a favour and interviews Pete Rock.
Then in the second half of the show, it becomes more like a London pirate radio show as UK hip hop/grime crew Foreign Beggars takeover with Los Angeles dubstep producer 12th Planet and Israeli producer/dj/rapper Borgore.

Also I get on the decks to do a mix of hip hop, reggae, soul, miami bass and other types of Christmas songs. Each year we do a Christmas Special on the show, this mix is just a more condensed version of last years special with a couple of new editions.

As much as she has been lacking in manners the last time or so she came by the studio, Sky’high’s new stuff is pretty nice. For those unacquainted, Sky is semi a representative of the searcher/adlay culture in Sydney. Kinda like our version of a ‘chav’, you will see lads wearing Nike hats and shorts, air max, nautica polos, talking in pig latin and generally being a nuisance. Their fearless leader, Sky has been making big moves, working with New Zealand hit maker P Money. Here are some of their tunes…
She was a troubled girl, but there has always been something I have admired about her rugged charm, brash sense of humour and honesty, which comes out with such feeling in her music.
