Damn! My photoshop skillz are off the chain. I need to start taking design work. So… ah yeah… I do a weekly Sunday party at this fine establishment by the name of Ching-a-lings. It is a nice place for a chilled drink, good music and maybe some light dancing in Sydney. This week it is R&B themed with special guest DJs ANK1A and Wendy Samantha.

Brrr! Brrr! Brrr! Put your hands up. Feel those horns. It is the Young Money remix of Kanye’s ‘All Of The Lights’ with Weezy, Drake and Big Sean. The original is so massive, but some how this remix is not nearly as killer as it should be. Please insert Nicki Minaj. Thoughts?

The Surecut Kids Biatch!!

Early last year I (Mike Who?) had the chance to play some tunes with Bill before these homies from Brisbane who I must say are nothing short of dam spectacular. The Surecut Kids are a dj/production super duo from the Gold coast. They throw down 4 deck shows with mpc routines that will blow you away. Easily at home making hip hop heads loose it, reducing indie kids to tears or melting faces in the club. Next time these dudes make it down to sydney or wherever you are do yourself a favour and get there. Here is one of their first tapes I heard which is bossy as and influenced me to play indie tunes at inappropriate times and places I probably shouldn’t have been playing them.

I almost spat coffee at the computer screen when I saw this one. I did this interview with El-P ages ago. One of the things we were talking about is a bet that he made with a friend that he couldn’t make a happy song. Years later El-P remixes Justin Bieber and he still manages to come out losing that wager.

Quickly have a listen as two polar opposites collide. You have only a few minutes before this very song creates a contradiction in the music time continuum causing the universe to implode on it’s self.
