Pineapple Republic is our Bi Monthly late night Tropical Pachanga,  in your favourite below sea level den, Tatler. The last one was heaving. Pineapples were caressed, people got low and selectors ran the dance with deep Latin and Caribbean heat.

Expect more of the same with your local heros Shantan Wantan Ichiban, Alongside The Colombian connection Sr. Bolivar and Tropicante, plus our special guest Huwston.

And to get it all started the night will feature dance performances from the 101 DOLL SQUADRON! SQUAADDDDD!

Tonight sees the launch of a new bi monthly party called “Knee Deep”,  brought to you by 3 chums  and a whole heap of special guests.

Set in the Tatler bunker just on the outskirts of the cross, with a killer sound system and a dim lit dance floor. There will be vibes, dance, and drunkeness, as local homies Yelo Magic, Resort Styles and our very own Mike Who go deep on all matter of Boogie, Disco, Future Funk, throwback house and whatever other tangents they and you want, till your feet say yes but your mind says burgers. Happy peeps, cheap drinks, and rolling distance to Oporto.

Wooooaah! Did not expect it to be that rammed. By midnight we had to stop letting people in as the party reached capacity. It was another night of Caribbean music and intense booty shaking not restricted to our Dutty Dance Off. Congratulations to Audrey for taking out the competition and winning herself a top notch cask of wine valued at $15. Totally worth it. Our selectors took us on a journey through the wide range of sounds starting with roots reggae, into new and classic dancehall with a bit of Ska, Moombahton, Latin Heat, Bashment and Soca thrown in for good measure – then ended it at 4am with some Old School Jungle.

Iggy Azalea Australian Tour with Nas for Movement Festival in April 2013

Well… It seems that we have the scoop. The Fosters of oz hip hop (one of our biggest exports, yet rarely consumed at home) is doing her first Australian tour.

According to a comment she made to our very own Shantan Wantan Ichiban on instagram she will be appearing with Nas at Movement Festival in April.

In a short period of time Azelea Banks has become arguable Australia’s popular hip hop artists thousands of followers on social networks, signed to T.I.’s label, and now the world touring with Nas.

If the rumour is true, Azelea will be appearing alongside 2chainz, Joey Badass, Angel Haze, Chiddy Bang, Bliss N Eso, Spit Syndicate and of course Nas, who are also on the line up for Movement Festival.
